Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial musician and singer who blends Soul gospel Jazz and R&B in a signature mix. The singer has worked everywhere from Broadway through the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine's title is Denise White. While she is a resident of Atlanta however, she comes out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began the musical path by singing as well as playing the piano at churches. In Atlanta she went to Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. In 2005 she took on the role of the keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to serve as the director of the choir for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine was later invited to sing at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
