Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina (or Antonia) Shevchenko competes as an Kyrgyzstani Muay Thailand fighter in the flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her professional journey as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003 during the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the competition and defeated Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze in 2008 and a gold award in 2011, and was the 2015 IFMA Amateur Muay Thailand World Champion. Antonia started her professional career in at the age of 2003. She won the World K-1 Championships of WKC Light Welterweight in 2012 and the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships in 2016 as well as both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina was last in action against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas, at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won via unanimous verdict. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut took place in 2002, during the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan where she was matched against Anara Bayanova. She took the title via TKO during the 2nd round, and then won her two subsequent bouts in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. This gave her a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko took a break from MMA to focus on boxing. She returned against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3, 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in the year 2018, Shevchenko enrolled into Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina made use of her formidable strike skills in order to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body.
