Sasha Allen, the openly-transgender transgender female singer who made it to the Live Shows of The Voice made history as they made it there. Sasha Allen was the very first within the 21 years of Voice competitions that Sasha had made it beyond the Battle Rounds. This Newtown, Conn. duo are now part of the Top 8 of the contest! Sasha confessed that he's transgender in their presentation for The Blind Auditions, and he admitted to Parade.com that the choice took thought and consideration. Sasha said it was hard to choose because he needed to showcase a vulnerable aspect of himself in front of millions and millions. He made the transition while the time was when he was in high school. In the last week of Fan Week, watching the support from people and their reactions, and how the people reacted was worth it. "We used to play it before The Voice was even a reality show in our lives. We were so excited to receive it. It was a song we were familiar with; it was a track we were already thinking of arrangements for. The fans definitely hit the mark."
